2013 Holocaust Study Institute

The Lux Center is pleased to announce the creation of its Holocaust Study Institute , a one semester evening class beginging in January, 2013, followed by a study trip to Israel. Educators may be eligible for scholarships. More ...

Study in Israel
The Lux Center will offer an ongoing accredited study program in Israel for all seminarians in co-operation with a major eccumenical institute.

Ongoing faculty position
The center will endow an adjunct Sacred Heart faculty position for a Jewish scholar teaching Judaism, ensuring long-term continuity in a program currently provided on a year-by-year basis.

Named lectureship
The center will expand the school’s calendar of public events and lectures to include regular major lectures on issues that advance Catholic-Jewish relations. These lectures will be named for a major financial sponsor.

Permanent library resources
The center will feature a significant addition to the 1,100-item Judaica collection at Sacred Heart’s Dehon Library. This collection, also to be named for a major financial sponsor, will be open to the public and visiting scholars.
